Last Sunday, I was lucky enough to be in the village for the Festa di Sant'Anna. I think the photos say it all, although a soundtrack of tolling bells, fireworks exploding, and then a live concert echoing through the valley needs to be played whilst viewing.

Events like this for me are one of the joys of the Italian way of life.
ooooh la festa del paese... when everybody takes out their best clothes... :)
Were there fireworks? Isn't it great that Italian saints get an airing once a year?
